Frederick William Scotting was born and raised in Bury, Lancashire.
He served as a Private (#201921) in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment 2nd/5th Bn.
He may have moved to Birmingham at some point prior to signing up, as the 2/5th were formed in Birmingham during Oct 1914.
He died on 28 April 1917 and is remembered in the Savy British Cemetry.
See the Commonwealth War Graves Certificate here.
Sadly his brother Wilfred Henry had already fallen three years earlier in the early part of the Gallipoli campaign.
